How to Master Touch Typing
The Home Row Foundation
Your fingers should always return to the 'Home Row' (A, S, D, F and J, K, L, ;). The small bumps on the 'F' and 'J' keys are there to help you find your position without looking. Practice Lessons 1-3 until you can type these characters instinctively.
Don't Look Down
The biggest hurdle in learning touch typing is the urge to look at the keyboard. Cover your hands with a cloth if necessary. Accuracy is more important than speed in the beginning—speed is a natural byproduct of accuracy.
